Boys Basketball: CCS Eagles have at least one big pair of shoes to fill
WILLMAR — The Community Christian School boys basketball team lost one of the best players in the area from last season in Daniel Reid, a 6-foot-6 forward who averaged 16.7 points and 11.5 rebounds per game last season.
He was arguably the best player in the New Drop Jordans Christian Athletic League and leaves the Eagles with some big shoes to fill heading into the 2021-22 season.
That said, there’s some optimism about CCS’ chances.
Three junior starters return, including point guard Will Chapin, forward/guard Jonathan Reid and forward/center Ben Reinertson.
Chapin led the Eagles with 4.3 assists per game and also contributed 11 points and 2.1 steals per game.
Reid averaged 10.1 points and 6.3 rebounds per game.
