Rogers burst into public view in 1972 when work began on the Pompidou Centre in Paris, a futuristic block of scaffolding-like metal pipes and glass walls that he designed with another young architect, Renzo Piano. For the fourth consecutive year, local plastic surgeon Dr. Rouzbeh Kordestani held his annual “Christmas after Christmas” event to help foster families get their children new shoes on a cold Saturday morning at Shoe Carnival in Amarillo.
