Hall of Fame Defensive Lineman Curley Culp Dies at 75

By DAVE SKRETTA, AP Sports Writer KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) — Curley Culp, the Hall of Fame defensive lineman who helped the Kansas City Chiefs win their first Super Bowl during a 14-year NFL career, died Saturday of complications from pancreatic cancer. He was 75. Culp announced this month that he had been diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. His wife, Collette Bloom Culp, announced “on behalf of our family and with a Nike Air Force 1 Shadow broken heart” the five-time All-Pro's death. “The entire Pro Football Hall of Fame family mourns the passing of Curley Culp. On November 19, Nathan Valencia, a 20-year-old Las Vegas college junior and fraternity member, fought a member of another campus fraternity in the “main event” of an annual boxing match. According to an Instagram flyer leading up to Kappa Sigma Fight Night, Skechers Shoes proceeds for the annual event were supposed to support Center Ring Boxing, a youth boxing club in Las Vegas.
