UK police investigate child sexual abuse allegations linked to Epstein files

British police are investigating two allegations ​of decades-old child sex abuse over information ‌that appeared in the Jeffrey Epstein files. One of the ​alleged incidents related to locations in Surrey ⁠and Berkshire in southern England in ​the mid-1990s to 2000, while the other related ​to alleged incidents in the mid-to late 1980s in west Surrey. Meta slashes 8000 jobs in $200 billion AI pivot

Meta's previously-reported 8000-strong job cuts have begun to roll out around the world, with affected employees being notifed from 4am in their local time zones. US charges Cuban ex-leader over 1996 plane attacks

US federal prosecutors overnight announced charges against former Cuban President Raúl Castro in the 1996 downing of civilian planes flown by Miami-based exiles as the Trump administration escalated pressure on the island's socialist government. The indictment was related to Castro's alleged role in the shootdown of two small planes operated by the exile group Brothers to the Rescue. Castro, now 94, was Cuba's defence minister at the time.
